The "Gestüt im Engels"
The development of our own breeding and training facility
The "Gestüt im Engels" of the "Schnaufer GbR" is a family-run business. Besides the training of young eventing horses and a small breeding farm with about 2-4 broodmares, we have been running a small rehabilitation center since the end of 2018.
We - that is mother and daughter Annette Schnaufer and Josephine Schnaufer-Völkel. Annette takes care of our horse rehab and our horse breeding. Josephine is responsible for the training of horse and rider and the apprentices on our riding facility.
In addition, we are supported by six employees who look after the well-being and activities of the horses all day long and are responsible for the maintenance and cleaning of the facility.
The riding facility
For some years now we have been at home at the Gestüt im Engels and have built a wonderful riding facility there. Surrounded by pastures, woods and fields in Neitersen in the Westerwald. On our facility we have space for about 30 horses.
We have two beautiful outdoor riding arenas and an indoor riding hall, which invite you to enjoy beautiful rides. There is also a gallop racecourse where the horses can really work off their energy. We have many cross-country obstacles so that our eventing horses can also be trained in the best possible way, an indoor riding hall with a stable alley with paddock boxes, a horse walker and an aqua trainer, which is part of our rehabilitation center.
The horse-friendly rearing and keeping of horses is always in the focus of our attention!
