Silke Hönig, who was born in Badenwuerttemberg, grew up in a horse family and has been riding since she is little. After her initial activity as an office clerk, Silke Hönig decided in 2015 to turn her hobby into her profession and moved to the stable of the renowned breeder Johannes Rüter.
Since the beginning of 2019, the 31-year-old has decided to start her own business. Since then she has been training young show jumpers in Waltrop and presents them at jumping shows.
Her experience in both national and international show jumping courses up to the advanced level and her participation in the Bundeschampionat brings her into the training of talented young horses.
In and around Waltrop Silke Hönig takes care of up to 8 horses a day - from the riding horse to the correction horse to the sales horse. Silke Hönig is particularly interested in the training and breaking in of young, talented horses. Silke approaches the training of very young horses with a lot of patience and individually depending on the type of horse.
